Leonida

Leonida

The fictional state of Leonida — GTA 6's entire open world, encompassing Vice City, marshlands, keys, mountains, and coastal highways.

Leonida is the fictional state GTA 6 takes place in — Rockstar’s version of modern Florida, stretched across a huge and genuinely varied map. Rockstar’s own marketing copy describes the setting as home to the “neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond,” and that “beyond” is doing a lot of work: Leonida isn’t built like one big city with padding around it, it’s built like an actual state made up of distinct, fully realized regions.

At the center sits Vice City, the state’s glamorous, chaotic capital of nightlife and crime.

South of the city, the Leonida Keys offer a quieter, tropical escape that turns out to be anything but safe once you look closer. Further out, the map spreads into the swampy Grassrivers, the industrial decline of Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia, and the wild northern forests of Mount Kalaga National Park.

Every one of these regions has been directly confirmed by Rockstar, not pieced together from leaks — together they make up the largest, most varied map the studio has built for a single GTA game.
