Brian Heder has been running product through his boatyard in the Leonida Keys for years — long enough that he’s reached the point in his career where he’d rather let other people take the actual risks. That’s exactly where Jason Duval and Cal Hampton come in, both working his smuggling routes while Jason lives rent-free in a property Brian owns in Key Lento as part of the arrangement.
Brian is currently engaged to his third wife, Lori Heder, and by most accounts she’s far more involved in his operation than a typical spouse would be — trailer footage shows her handling firearms as comfortably as the men who work for him. Between the marina, the smuggling routes, and the people he keeps close, Brian sits at the center of a fair amount of Jason’s world before the main story even kicks off.
