Lucia is the first major female protagonist in mainline GTA history to be fully voiced and written as an actual character, rather than a silent, optional avatar the way past games handled playable women. Her ambitions are personal rather than abstract: she wants the comfortable life her mother once dreamed of back when the family lived in Liberty City, and she’s decided the only way to actually get there is to take it herself — more deliberately and more carefully than anything she’s attempted before.
