Platforms
GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PC version confirmed at launch. Based on Rockstar's historical pattern, a PC release 12-18 months after console is possible but unannounced. You can see a full breakdown of pricing and platform details on our Platforms & Pricing page, and before you buy, it's worth checking the expected age rating.
Dual Protagonists
GTA 6 features two playable protagonists — Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos — a criminal duo operating across Vice City and surrounding counties. Their partnership is the emotional and narrative backbone of the game.
Setting: Leonida & Vice City
The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. The map encompasses:
- Vice City — the iconic neon-lit metropolis, modernized with 2020s culture
- Grassriver Marshlands — wetlands with hovercrafts and wildlife
- The Vice Dale & Keys — tropical islands connected by ocean highways
Map Size
Leonida is estimated at roughly 2.4 to 2.7 times the size of GTA 5's map — around 118-132 square miles. Rockstar has not published an official figure. For a full breakdown, see the GTA 6 Map Size page.
